Send clients a download link to your final exported files. Ask them to use Download, not save a gallery preview or take a screenshot. Before delivering the full set, download one photo through the client view and compare it with your export.
1. Agree on the delivered file
Confirm the format, pixel dimensions, color profile, and intended use. A print delivery may need a different export from a website image. “Original download” means the file uploaded for delivery, not automatically your camera RAW file.

Keep the edited master separate. Export the agreed version once, without unnecessary resizing or repeated JPEG saves. A delivery service cannot restore detail already removed during export.
2. Choose a delivery method

Email does not inherently reduce the quality of a file attachment. Resizing and attachment limits depend on the app and service. A ZIP archive bundles photos without changing the image files, but it cannot recover lost detail or bypass a transfer limit.
3. Test the client's download
- Upload a sample of the final delivery.
- Open the link in a separate browser session with the client's access settings.
- Use Download and choose the original or full-resolution option when available.
- Compare format, pixel dimensions, file size, and appearance with your export. Compare file hashes if you need a byte-for-byte check.
- Test the full collection download before sending the link.
A gallery may display a smaller preview for browsing. Judge delivery quality from the downloaded file. Screen settings and color management can also change how the same image appears.
4. Send clear instructions
Tell clients where to download, whether a password is required, and when access expires. Ask them to save their own copy. If they need another size for printing or publishing, make that export from your master.
When review is part of delivery
