New Share Theme: Hero

There is a new Share Theme called "Hero". It's a minimalistic theme that focuses on the images. It features a nice zoom intro animation of the title image.

Improved Share Theme Preset

We reworked Share Theme Settings to make it easier to customize your Share Theme. It now features a bigger preview of the Share Theme while editing the settings, there is also a new button to save a copy of the current Share Theme and we added the possibility to to overwrite the default Share Theme in the Share Settings.

• Share Status Chooser no longer jumps to "No Status" when selecting a status while another status is loading.

Support for RAW Images

You can now upload and view RAW images in Framebird. We support all major RAW formats, including .cr2, .nef, .arw, .dng, and many more.

• AVIF Images are now supported
• Non Image file formats are now marked with a file type icon to make them easier to distinguish

Admin Panel got a fresh look

We redesigned the admin panel to make it more user-friendly and intuitive. The new design is more consistent with the rest of the app and provides a better user experience.

Better Placeholder Background

We improved the placeholder background of images. The gradient now looks more natural and is less distracting. Also it's not pixelated for Safari users anymore.

We improved the image viewer performance by 12x. ¹ You can now load images faster than ever before. Just go to a Gallery, open the image viewer and navigate through the images. You will notice the difference.

Animated GIFs

We also added support for animated GIFs. You can now upload and view animated GIFs in Framebird.

You can now see all your existing Shares before creating a new one. This way you won't create duplicates by accident.

Added Changelog Page

You can now follow the latest Changes we made to Framebird on our Changelog Page. It's also available in the Admin Panel when you click on your Avatar -> What's New.

Don't like rounded corners? 🤔

You can now customize the roundness of your images. Both the Share Themes and the Admin Panel have a new setting called Rounded Corner Radius. You can completely disable the roundness or increase it if you enjoy the roundness.

More Theme Customization 🎨

You can now choose from light or dark mode for your shares. Switch the Grid Style between regular Grid or Flow Style. Tweak the Grid Gap Tile Size to your likings.

• CMD+K did not trigger while in shares

Run Commands and Search for Content with CMD+K ⌨️

You can now run commands and search for files with CMD+K.

Just press CMD+K (or CTRL+K on Windows) and start typing. You can also use the arrow keys to navigate through the results and press enter to open the selected element.

We will add more commands in the future to make Framebird even more powerful. If you have any suggestions, please let us know.

Preview your PDFs 📄

Want to share your Portfolios, Callsheets or Storyboards? You can now upload PDFs to Framebird and preview them in the browser. You can also share them with your clients and colleagues.

Support for your iPhone Images (and other HEIC) 📱

Framebird now supports HEIC images. HEIC stands for High Efficiency Image Container. The format is an updated variant of the High Efficiency Image Format (HEIF), traditionally used by Apple across its mobile devices.

Get Notified about Updates in your Shares 📬

You will now get notified via email if someone comments on your images or rates them. You can disable this feature in the Admin Panel if you don't want to receive emails.

Shooting for the Stars ✨

Are you using Star Ratings with Lightroom, Capture One or another App? You can now filter your images by rating. Just click on the star rating you want to filter by and you will only see images with that rating.

Better Sorting

You can now sort your images by name, date, rating or size.

Flow Layout

You can now choose between two different grid layouts. The new layout is called Flow and it's a more compact layout because it does not show any borders for non landscape images. It's perfect for showcasing a lot of images in a small space.

No more Beta 🍾

Thank you for all the Feedback we got during the Beta Phase. We are now removing the Beta Badge from the App. We are still working on new features and improvements, but we are confident that the App is now ready for production use.

📈 Counting Share Views

We are now counting the views of your shares! No more guessing how many people have seen your share. You can find the view count in the share overview. Every Click counts, even if you click on the same share multiple times.

Only clicks on the shared URL are counted. If you click on the share in the Framebird App, it will not count as a view.
