Annotations

Annotations let you draw directly on images and video frames to make feedback clear. An annotation is saved together with your comment.

If you do not see the scribble button, annotations may be disabled for the Share or not available for your plan.

Start annotation mode

Open Media in the Share viewer

Open an image or video in the Share viewer.

Click the scribble button

In the comment input, click the scribble icon to enter annotation mode.

Draw your annotation

Pick a tool, then draw on the image or on the current video frame.

Send your comment

Type your message (if needed) and click Send to post the annotated comment.

Annotate a video frame (timestamped)

Video annotations are always tied to a single timestamp.

  1. Scrub or play to the moment you want to annotate.
  2. Enter annotation mode and draw on the current frame.
  3. Send your comment. The comment keeps the timestamp so others can jump to the exact moment.

Show or hide annotations from comments

If a comment contains an annotation, it shows a Show annotations button.

  • Click Show annotations to display the overlay in the viewer.
  • Click it again to hide the overlay.
  • For video, Framebird seeks to the annotation timestamp when you show it.
