Annotations
Annotations let you draw directly on images and video frames to make feedback clear. An annotation is saved together with your comment.
If you do not see the scribble button, annotations may be disabled for the Share or not available for your plan.
Start annotation mode
Open Media in the Share viewer
Open an image or video in the Share viewer.
Click the scribble button
In the comment input, click the scribble icon to enter annotation mode.
Draw your annotation
Pick a tool, then draw on the image or on the current video frame.
Send your comment
Type your message (if needed) and click Send to post the annotated comment.
Tools and controls
- Pen: freehand drawing.
- Rectangle: draw a rectangle. Click once to place a small shape, drag to size.
- Circle: draw a circle. Click once to place a small shape, drag to size.
- Stroke size (desktop): choose small or big.
- Color: pick a color from the palette.
- Undo / redo: use the toolbar buttons, or
Ctrl+Z/Cmd+ZandCtrl+Shift+Z/Cmd+Shift+Z.
Tip: On mobile, use the check button in the annotation toolbar when you are done drawing, then send your comment.
Annotate a video frame (timestamped)
Video annotations are always tied to a single timestamp.
- Scrub or play to the moment you want to annotate.
- Enter annotation mode and draw on the current frame.
- Send your comment. The comment keeps the timestamp so others can jump to the exact moment.
Show or hide annotations from comments
If a comment contains an annotation, it shows a Show annotations button.
- Click Show annotations to display the overlay in the viewer.
- Click it again to hide the overlay.
- For video, Framebird seeks to the annotation timestamp when you show it.
