Guide for Share Viewers

A Framebird Share is the client-facing space for viewing, discussing, selecting, and downloading work. The tools you see depend on what the Share owner enabled.

Open the Share

Use the Share URL or invitation

Open the link from the owner. A verified email invitation can also connect your activity to the invited identity.

Enter the password if required

Passwords are set by the Share owner. Ask the owner if yours does not work. An expired Share must also be reopened by the owner.

Identify yourself

Enter your name and requested contact details, sign in to Framebird, or continue through a verified invitation. Your identity is used for your own comments and selections.

Anonymous activity continues in the same browser profile. Sign in or use a verified invitation if you need to continue on another browser or device.

Browse and view Media

  • Open Galleries or Scenes to move through the Share structure.
  • Use filters to narrow the grid by review status or other available details.
  • Open Media for a larger viewer, then use the arrows or swipe to move between items.
  • Use zoom, pan, fullscreen, or slideshow controls when the file type supports them.
  • Video, audio, PDF, text, Note, and supported embedded-link items open in their matching viewer.

Leave comments and replies

Open Media and type in the comment field. You can reply to a comment and mention an available participant with @name. The comment author and Share owner can resolve a comment when the point is complete. Use Show resolved when you need to revisit finished threads.

For audio and video, scrub to a moment before commenting to attach a timestamp. Video can also use a time range. For visual feedback, choose the scribble tool and add an annotation to an image or video frame.

Set a review status

If status review is enabled, choose the option that matches your decision, such as Favorite, Approved, or Needs Changes. You can clear your choice if no current decision should remain.

  • In a shared selection, everyone sees and updates one current result.
  • In an individual selection, you see only your own choices. The owner can compare participant totals and disagreements.

Changing a choice updates the current selection. The owner may start a new review round by changing the workflow, which clears the active selections but keeps creator-side history.

Download files

Choose Download when the owner allows downloads. You may be able to download one item, a Gallery, the filtered result, or the full Share. Large downloads can take time to prepare. Keep the page open until the download starts, especially on mobile.

Upload files to the Share

If Upload is visible:

  1. Open the Gallery that should receive the files.
  2. Choose Upload or drop files into the upload area.
  3. Confirm the destination if the Share allows several Galleries.
  4. Keep the page open until every file finishes or shows a retry action.

The owner controls allowed destinations and the total visitor upload limit. Uploaded files become part of the owner’s workspace, and the owner can receive an activity notification.

Privacy and troubleshooting

  • Other public participants cannot see your email, individual selections, or creator review history.
  • If comments, status, downloads, or uploads are missing, the owner has not enabled them or your current location is not allowed.
  • If your previous selections are missing on a new device, sign in or reopen the verified invitation used earlier.
  • If Media does not load, check the connection and use the available retry action before refreshing the whole Share.
