Timestamped Comments for Audio and Video
Use timestamps to leave feedback at the exact moment in an audio or video file. When you comment while reviewing Media in a Share, Framebird can attach the current playback time to your comment.
Timestamped comments are available only if comments are enabled for the Share. If you cannot comment, ask the Share owner to enable comments in the Share settings.
Add a comment at a specific time
- Open an audio or video file in the Share viewer.
- Play or scrub to the moment you want to comment on.
- Click into the comment field. A timestamp chip appears (for example
01:23). - Type your comment and click Send.
Your comment is saved with that timestamp. Other viewers can jump to it from the timeline.
The timestamp chip appears after you move the playhead past 00:00. If you want to comment right at the start, scrub
a second forward, add your comment, and mention “start” in the message if needed.
Turn timestamps on or off
- Click the timestamp chip to toggle timestamps.
- When timestamps are off, your comment is posted without a time reference.
Comment on a time range (video)
For video feedback that covers a segment (not just a single frame), you can attach a time range.
- Move to the start of the segment and begin typing your comment.
- In the video timeline, a draft marker appears at your start time.
- Drag the small end handle on that draft marker to set the end time.
- Send your comment. The timestamp chip shows the range (for example
01:23 - 01:45).
Tip: While the comment field is focused, scrubbing the timeline updates the draft start time.
Jump to a timestamped comment
- Video: click a marker on the timeline to seek to that moment.
- Audio: click a marker on the waveform to seek to that moment.
- If multiple comments are stacked at the same time, open the stack and pick the specific comment.
